"Lofotfisket", the Lofoten Seasonal Fishreis, has been a bedrock of Norway's evolution for the past 1000 years. Dried codfish from Lofoten was the very first big Norwegian export article, as well as rashions for seafaring vikings. For generations fishermen from all over Norway have traveled to Lofoten during winter to participate in the magnificent cod fishing.
Cod fishing is sesonal and take place between February and April every year. This is a classic Norwegian experience that everyone should try at least once.
