Fishing trip from Bodø

Authentic fishing trip and a great nature experience!

Bodø has a long tradition within fisheries and was founded to be the main fisheries trade post in Northern Norway. There are several great fishing fields outside of Bodø in fantastic arctic nature. In the period between March and April there are sometimes arctic cod outside Bodø, coming down from the Barents Sea. But there is also great fishing conditions all year round for cod, coalfish, mackerel and halibut.

On a longer fishing trip it is possible to go to Saltstraumen where the tidal currents whirl up food and make it an especially attractive fishing ground. Catching a halibut will always require a bit of luck. But here there is especially good chances of getting one.

There are different boats available for charter in Bodø. Send us a request about who you are and what you want to experience and we will find the boat that is perfect for you. Equipment and warm suits are included and you need no prior experience. If you charter a boat it is also possible to cater food for the trip.
